There is a dangerous gap in understanding about the value of
governmental public health and how upstream determinants impact
health. Changing these perceptions is a significant communications
and advocacy challenge for public health.

This community of practice series aims to support public health professionals engaged in regular communications with policymakers and the public on the value of public health and primary prevention. The series will include technical assistance from the Frameworks Institute on the tactics and strategies of well-framed messaging and strategic communications.
