During the next 20 years, approximately 3.5 million African American
women, 2 million Latinas and 1 million Asian American women will
enter menopause

The goal of this series is to improve patient care experiences and access to high-quality healthcare for women from diverse racial and ethnic groups who are experiencing menopause. The seven-session series will provide an evidence-based, comprehensive curriculum covering the current state of knowledge on racial and ethnic disparities, opportunities to increase provider self-awareness and confidence and opportunities improve communication with patients. Sessions include short lectures and case-based discussions.

Participants will have the opportunity to apply their knowledge actively in immersive experiences with virtual reality avatars.

Audience:
Women's health clinicians (MD, DO, NP, PA, PhD, PsyD) who care for menopausal women in primary care, obstetric or mental health settings

This series will include a pre- and post-test that will be used to understand its effectiveness.

CME:
Pending Approval: This ECHO Colorado series will be reviewed and acceptable for up to 7 credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity (1.0 credit per session).
