Transgender patients consistently indicate
experiencing multiple barriers in accessing health care
coverage and transgender-inclusive care

This is a four-week, case-based “boot camp” designed to convey the core concepts of gender-affirming care to prescribing primary care providers (MD, MB, DO, NP, PA, etc.) who are interested in improving care for transgender and gender non-binary patients. Topics include routine primary care, mental health and hormone therapy management. This series is designed for those who are new to the topic or who would like to refresh their training.

Sessions include a brief didactic presentation by an expert and discussion of participant-submitted cases. Participants are highly encouraged to submit de-identified patient cases for group discussion and expert consultation.

This series serves as an onramp for the ongoing, monthly Transgender Health: Comprehensive Approaches in Primary Care. More information here. Participation in both series is encouraged.
