Asthma is the third leading cause of hospitalization
among children under the age of 15

This free, six-week series is offered in partnership with Children's Hospital, Denver Health and Hospital Authority, and ECHO Colorado.

The series focuses on building the capacity of Colorado school-based health clinic mid-level providers to better assess, treat, manage and refer the care of students with asthma. Participants will learn to diagnose asthma and assess severity in school-aged children according to NHLBI Asthma Guidelines, and to differentiate asthma from other related conditions. This series will also cover how to implement guidelines for step-level care in asthma management, teach correct inhaler technique and initiate the first steps in the evaluation of cases of severe asthma.
